Triumph : GT6
Model Introduction
The Triumph GT6, introduced in 1966, was essentially a fastback coupé version of the Spitfire, styled by Giovanni Michelotti with a distinctive long bonnet and flowing roofline. Powered by a smooth 2.0-litre straight-six engine, it offered strong performance for its size, earning the nickname “the poor man’s E-Type” thanks to its combination of style, speed, and affordability. Over three generations it gained improved suspension and refinements, making it a capable long-distance tourer as well as an attractive classic that still appeals to enthusiasts today.
