Saab : 900
Model Introduction
The Saab 900, launched in 1978, was a distinctive evolution of the 99, retaining its predecessor’s safety-led engineering while introducing sleeker styling and improved aerodynamics. Offered in hatchback, saloon, and later convertible forms, it became known for its wraparound windscreen, robust build, and innovative safety features. Turbocharged versions helped pioneer the idea of the practical performance car, delivering strong mid-range power and long-distance comfort. Produced until 1994, the 900 developed a cult following, with the Turbo and Convertible models in particular now highly sought after for their blend of individuality, durability, and Scandinavian style.
