Rover : P6
Model Introduction
The Rover P6, launched in 1963, was an advanced executive saloon that showcased Rover’s engineering ambition. Styled by David Bache with crisp, modern lines, it featured a revolutionary de Dion rear suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and a unitary body with bolt-on panels for ease of repair. Initially offered with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, it later gained the 3.5-litre V8, creating the rapid and refined 3500. Voted European Car of the Year in 1964, the P6 combined safety, innovation, and driver engagement, remaining in production until 1977 and earning a loyal following among enthusiasts.
