Renault : 11

Model Introduction

The Renault 11, introduced in 1983, was a versatile small family car offered in three- and five-door hatchback forms, sharing its platform with the Renault 9 saloon. Styled by Robert Opron’s team, it featured aerodynamic lines and a practical, spacious interior, with later models gaining a distinctive wraparound front-end treatment. The 11 stood out in its class by offering advanced features such as a voice warning system on certain trims, and it gained motorsport kudos through the turbocharged Renault 11 Turbo, which enjoyed rallying success in the Group A era. Built until 1989 in Europe, it sold widely across global markets.
