Fiat : 130

Model Introduction

Though it lacked the sporting pretensions of later BMW saloons or the aristocratic gravitas of a Mercedes, the Fiat 130 Saloon delivered its own unique blend of relaxed performance and subtle luxury. The Lampredi V6 provided a distinctive soundtrack and willing torque, while the independent suspension soaked up poor roads with ease. It was popular among senior politicians and business figures in Italy, and a favourite of Fiat boss Gianni Agnelli, who had several customised versions built for personal use. While the Coupé often steals the limelight today, the saloon’s understated style, technical merit, and rarity make it a connoisseur’s choice among classic executive cars.
