Fiat 128 Coupe

Model Introduction

The Fiat 128 Coupé, introduced in 1971, took the solid and innovative underpinnings of the 128 saloon and wrapped them in a more stylish, sporting body. Styled by Paolo Martin at Pininfarina, it featured a sharp silhouette, quad headlights, and a more driver-focused interior layout. Available initially in 1100 and 1300 versions, and later with upgraded power outputs and sport trims, it retained the transverse engine and front-wheel-drive layout that made the 128 a technical landmark. Despite its compact size, it offered lively performance, crisp handling, and everyday usability, making it one of the more accessible entry points into Italian coupe ownership during the 1970s.
