Citroen : Dyane
Model Introduction
Launched in 1967 as an evolution of the 2CV, the Citroën Dyane was designed to offer a slightly more modern and versatile take on the minimalist French people's car. With a hatchback-style rear end and subtly sharper styling, the Dyane was developed by former Panhard engineers absorbed into Citroën after the two companies merged. Their influence is evident in the more angular bodywork and clever packaging. Though it never quite replaced the 2CV as intended, the Dyane carved out its own following as a practical and endearing small car.
